Third-party notices and source-code offer

Version 1.2 (Store, NVIDIA edition) | Applies to THETA Render 1.0.0

Last updated: 3 November 2026

Licensor: see the End User Licence Agreement.

1. INTRODUCTION

1.1 THETA Render consists of proprietary components written by the Licensor (the application, the plug-ins, the workflow files and the pre-computed conditioning files THETA_*.safetensors), which are licensed under the End User Licence Agreement, and of third-party software and models, which are licensed under the terms listed here.

1.2 The licence texts are installed in the folder legal\licenses of the installation, and every Python package keeps its own licence files in its "dist-info" folder. Nothing in the End User Licence Agreement restricts the rights that these licences give you.

1.3 THETA Render is shipped with the NVIDIA build of ComfyUI (folder comfyui_nvidia), which runs on NVIDIA graphics cards. An AMD Radeon build is not part of this package. This list covers the components shipped in this package. Licence names are those declared by each project for the version shipped.

2. COMFYUI (GNU GPL VERSION 3)

2.1 THETA Render installs ComfyUI Portable 0.39.0, with ComfyUI frontend 1.53.10 and the other packages of that portable build, in the "comfyui" folder of the installation.

Licence: GNU General Public License version 3 (GPL-3.0), full text in legal\licenses\GPL-3.0.txt and at https://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-3.0.html.

Project: https://github.com/comfyanonymous/ComfyUI

2.2 Changes. The ComfyUI program files are unchanged. Files that are not needed to run the program (documentation, tests, update scripts, example scripts, launcher batch files and version-control data) were removed from the portable package. Nothing of THETA Render is stored in the comfyui folder: the THETA custom nodes, the pre-computed conditioning files and the models are kept in the separate folder theta_components, which ComfyUI loads through its standard extra_model_paths setting. The ComfyUI window and web page are not shown to you.

2.3 Source code. The ComfyUI source code is not changed by THETA Render. The complete corresponding source code of ComfyUI 0.39.0 can be copied at no charge from https://github.com/comfyanonymous/ComfyUI, release tag v0.39.0 (direct download: https://github.com/comfyanonymous/ComfyUI/archive/refs/tags/v0.39.0.zip). The addresses of the source code of the other GPL and LGPL components are in section 4.5. THETA Render offers the programs in the form in which their projects publish them and points to the places where the source code is published, as section 6(d) of GPL-3.0 allows. The Licensor will maintain access to the corresponding source, whether through the original upstream location or another publicly available equivalent location, for as long as we distribute that version and for at least three years after we last distribute it. A copy of the exact source versions we distribute is also kept at https://github.com/ThetaRender/thetarender-source/releases/tag/1.0.0.

2.4 The scripts used to build the ComfyUI portable package are in the folders .ci and .github of the same repository.

2.5 ComfyUI runs as a separate program and exchanges data with the THETA Render application through a local network connection on your own computer.

3. THETA CUSTOM NODES (GNU GPL VERSION 3)

The ComfyUI custom nodes theta_clip, image_select, image_router, building_landscape_router and conditioning_select, in the folder theta_components\custom_nodes, were written by the Licensor.

Copyright (c) 2026 Athanasios A. Bampanelos.

They are free software licensed under GPL-3.0 (legal\licenses\GPL-3.0.txt), WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY, and are installed as readable Python source files, which are their source code. You may copy, modify and redistribute them under that licence. This does not apply to the THETA Render application, the plug-ins, the workflows and the conditioning files.

4. PYTHON PACKAGES SHIPPED WITH COMFYUI

4.2 FFmpeg libraries in PyAV. PyAV includes shared FFmpeg libraries (libavcodec, libavdevice, libavformat, libavutil, libavfilter, libswscale, libswresample) licensed under LGPL-2.1-or-later or GPL-2.0-or-later, and the codec libraries libx264 and libx265 (GPL-2.0-or-later) and others (libvpx, libopus, libdav1d, libwebp with libwebpmux and libsharpyuv, libSvtAv1Enc, libvmaf, libvpl), together with runtime libraries such as libiconv (LGPL), zlib, libgcc, libstdc++ and libwinpthread. They are shipped unmodified as separate DLL files in the folder av.libs, so you can replace them. THETA Render does not use video functions. Source code: https://ffmpeg.org, https://www.videolan.org/developers/x264.html, https://www.x265.org and https://github.com/PyAV-Org/PyAV, and in section 4.5. Licence texts: legal\licenses\LGPL-2.1.txt, legal\licenses\GPL-2.0.txt, legal\licenses\FFmpeg-LICENSE- overview.txt, legal\licenses\x264-COPYING-GPL-2.0.txt and legal\licenses\x265-COPYING- GPL-2.0.txt.

The runtime libraries are libiconv-2 (GNU libiconv, LGPL-2.1, text in legal\licenses\LGPL-2.1.txt), libgcc_s_seh-1 and libstdc++-6 (the GCC 16.1.0 runtime libraries, GPL-3.0 with the GCC Runtime Library Exception 3.1, texts in legal\licenses\GPL-3.0.txt and legal\licenses\GCC-Runtime-Library-Exception-3.1.txt), libwinpthread-1 (mingw-w64 winpthreads, permissive licence, text in legal\licenses\mingw-w64-winpthreads-COPYING.txt) and zlib 1.3.2 (zlib licence, text in legal\licenses\zlib-license.txt). They are built with the MSYS2 / mingw-w64 tools and are shipped as they are in the PyAV wheel; the source code of the GCC and libiconv libraries is published at the addresses in section 4.5.

4.3 The other packages (for example aiohappyeyeballs, attrs, certifi, charset-normalizer, click, filelock, fsspec, httpx, idna, requests, rich, tqdm, urllib3, yarl) are under MIT, MIT-0, BSD, Apache-2.0, MPL-2.0, ISC, PSF-2.0, CNRI-Python, CC0-1.0 or similar licences stated in their dist-info folders. The complete list of the Python packages, with version, declared licence and project address, is in the file legal\THIRD_PARTY_PACKAGES.txt (86 packages in the NVIDIA build).

4.5 Where to get the source code of the GPL and LGPL components. The versions are those in section 4.1 and in the file THIRD_PARTY_PACKAGES.txt. If a project has moved its files, the same version is available from the package index https://pypi.org (source distribution of the package) or from the project's own download page.
